Top College Football Games this Weekend
Betting Odds from FanDuel Sportsbook on 9/24/21 at 12 p.m.
#12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (3-0) @ #18 Wisconsin Badgers (1-1) (-5.5)
9/25/21, Noon on Fox – O/U 45.5
Players playing against their old teams are always exciting games to watch. Rarely however, does this happen at the collegiate level. However, after three seasons at Wisconsin Jack Coan transferred to Notre Dame. On Saturday he faces off against his old team and many of his former teammates. Wisconsin’s lone defeat of the season came from a talented PSU team in a 16-10 game that came down to the wire. The Wisconsin defense will be hungry to get after their former teammate and the Wisconsin crowd will be LOUD. Notre Dame is 3-0, but lacks a signature win over a ranked opponent. If you’re only watching one game on Saturday, this should be it.
Betting Picks: Notre Dame +5.5 and Over 45.5
#7 Texas A&M Aggies (3-0) @ #10 Arkansas Razorbacks (3-0) (+4.5)
9/25/21, 3:30 p.m. on CBS – O/U 46.5
The only other battle of ranked opponents on Saturday pits the undefeated Aggies against the undefeated Razorbacks. Given the competitive nature of the SEC, a lost here virtually eliminates either team from playoff contention. Shutting down Arkansas WR Treylon Burks will be the main focus of the Aggie’s defense. Both teams can put up points and this should be high-scoring and entertaining game.
Betting Picks: Arkansas +4.5 and Over 46.5
Top NFL Games this Weekend
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0) @ Los Angeles Rams (2-0) (+1.5)
9/26/21, 4:25 p.m. on FOX – O/U 55.5
The best NFL game of the weekend is a showdown between two legitimate Super Bowl contenders in the NFC. The ageless Tom Brady already has 9 TD passes through 2 games for the Bucs, while Rams QB Matthew Stafford is also off to a strong start averaging just shy of 300 yards passing-per-game. Both teams are battling injuries (Rams – Darrel Henderson / Bucs – Antonio Brown and Jason Pierre-Paul). This should be a close game, but the Rams home field advantage and the Bucs’ defense looking beatable this year gives LA a slight edge. Then again, bet against Brady at your own risk.
Betting picks: Rams +1.5 and Over 55.5
Green Bay Packers (1-1) @ San Francisco 49ers (2-0) (-3)
9/26/21, 8:20 p.m. on NBC – O/U 50.5
After a dismal start to the season, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers bounced back in a major way last week against the Detroit Lions. The 49ers meanwhile have battled an insane amount of injuries, but continue to find ways to win. It will be interesting to see if Rodgers strong play continues. A key for the 49ers will be getting TE George Kittle more involved in the passing game. If the Niners weren’t down to their 4th string RB this game would be a lot easier to pick.
Betting picks: Packers +3 and Under 50.5
Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) @ Dallas Cowboys (1-1) (-3)
9/27/21, 8:15 p.m. on ESPN – O/U 51.5
The divisional and rivalry implications vault this matchup into our top games of the weekend. Both teams have been stubborn with their offensive game plans. The Eagles need to throw more, and the Cowboys need to run more – particularly, with RB Tony Pollard who may be a better option than Ezekiel Elliot. Both teams are battling some key injuries. The Eagles defense has only given up 23 points this season and should be able to do enough to keep this one close.
Betting picks: Eagles +3.5 and Under 51.5
Other Best Bets
- Kyler Murry Any Time TD (+100) – Murray has rushed for a TD in each of the Cardinals first two games. With top red-zone target WR DeAndre Hopkins being a game time decision due to injury, the chances of Murray punching another TD in are great.
- Chargers vs Chiefs Over 54.5 points (-108) – The Chiefs always put up points and Chargers QB Justin Herbert will be able to take advantage of the Chief’s porous defense.
- James White Over 33.5 Yards Receiving (-115) – This bet is 2-0 on the season and should continue to hit again this week. Pats RB Damien Harris being Questionable with a finger injury only increases that likelihood.
