Top 3 College Football Games this Weekend

Betting Odds from FanDuel Sportsbook on 9/17/21 at 4 p.m.

#1 Alabama (2-0) @ #11 Florida (2-0) (+14.5)

9/18/21, 3:30 p.m. on CBS – O/U 59.5

Both teams are 2-0 and have looked dominant in their first two matchups of the season. Florida’s defense and home crowd will keep it close, but look for Alabama to pull away late. QB Emory Jones is talented but turnover prone (4 INTs in 2 games). Expect Alabama to win the turnover battle and the game.

Betting Picks: Alabama -14.5 & Under 59.5

#22 Auburn (2-0) @ #10 Penn State (2-0) (-5.5)

9/18/21, 7:30 p.m. on ABC – O/U 52.5

Auburn’s first real test of the season will be against a sold-out, night game, whiteout crowd in Happy Valley. Auburn QB Bo Nix currently has an absurdly high QB Rating of 199.2, a number that will most certainly be lower after this game. Don’t expect tons of fireworks on offense from either team, but it’s hard to see PSU dropping this one at home.

Betting Picks: PSU -5.5 & Under 52.5

#15 Virginia Tech (2-0) @ West Virginia (1-1) (-2.5)

9/18/21, Noon on FS1 – O/U 49.5

Not quite the caliber of the first two must watch games this weekend, but an interesting matchup nonetheless. Virginia Tech finds itself the #15 teem in the country with its signature win being a 17-10 victory against UNC in Week 1. WVU meanwhile dropped a heartbreaker to Maryland 30-24 before demolishing Long Island University 66-0. The home field advantage leads to WVU being favored, but I like Virginia Tech to remain undefeated.

Betting Picks: Virginia Tech -2.5 & Over 49.5

Top 3 NFL Games this Weekend

Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) @ Baltimore Ravens (0-1) (+3.5)

9/19/21, 8:20 p.m. on NBC – O/U 54.5

In Week 1, the Chiefs beat the Browns in a thriller 33-29 while the Ravens lost a heartbreaker to the Raiders Monday night 33-27 in OT. Baltimore “leads” the league in worst injury luck so far, and even a home crowd won’t be enough to stop Patrick Mahomes and KC from putting up big points.

Betting picks: Chiefs -3.5 and Over 54.5

Dallas Cowboys (0-1) @ LA Chargers (1-0) (-3)

9/19/21, 4:25 p.m. on CBS – O/U 54.5

After an impressive 20-16 road win over Washington, QB Justin Herbert and the Chargers look to remain undefeated against a Dallas team coming off a 31-29 loss to the defending Super Bowl Champion Buccaneers. Both teams have strong offenses, but LA’s defense and home field should give them just enough edge to win but not cover.

Betting picks: Cowboys +3.5 and Over 54.5

LA Rams (1-0) @ Indianapolis Colts (0-1) (+3.5)

9/19/21, 1 p.m. on FOX – O/U 48.5

Rams QB Matthew Stafford is coming off a strong first game for LA but now faces another tough defense. The Colts gave up 28 points to Seattle last week but will be looking to have a better showing. Both teams have top defenses and points should be few and far between in this matchup.

Betting picks: Rams -3.5 and Under 48.5

Other Best Bets

  • 49ers QB Trey Lance Any Time TD Scorer (+500) – San Francisco Head Coach Kyle Shannan will get Lance involved more and more each week. After passing for one last week, don’t be surprised to see Lance score his first career rushing TD this Sunday.
  • Steelers RB Najee Harris Any Time TD Scorer (-145) – The Bills shut down the talented back out of Alabama last week, but look for Harris to punch at least one TD in against the Raiders.
  • Patriots RB James White Over 24.5 Receiving Yards (-114) – White had 49 receiving yards last week, and should easily get over this number.
